Waiting

...for the results of the thyroid ultrasound I had last week.

As expected, my labs are so far outside the normal ranges. I am already having surgery to find the remaining parathyroid gland that is causing some, or all, of the trouble. There could be one gland, or three; the fourth was removed a few years ago.

I am now wondering if the thyroid gland will need to be removed? Could it be the Hashimoto's Disease, an immune disorder of the thyroid, is also causing me to feel so awful? My immune system has been attacking my thyroid for years.
